CHARLOTTE — Police say a man has died after he was struck by a light rail train overnight in south Charlotte. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said transit workers found a man’s body during a routine check around 2:30 a.m. Friday. Investigators are reviewing security video to try to determine exactly what was going on when the man was struck. Authorities say the last train of the night left that area at around 1 a.m. Police identified the victim as 48-year-old Shawn Darnell Davis. Light rail tracks in the area were reopened at around 5:45 a.m....
