(Source: City of Eugene, OR) This morning at 12:47, November 9, a woman was pushing a shopping cart across train tracks at 600 W. 4th Avenue and Jefferson Street. An oncoming freight train spotted her and applied their horn and emergency brakes. The woman, identified as Kathy Tekanski, age 54, didn't appear to hear the horn or respond.
